I was always the one who wanted/was asked to give massages to my dad or mom or one of my older sisters! I remember my dad telling me that I was always "so specific" and "always hit the spot!" Since realizing what my dream was at such a young age, I planned all of my high school courses around the fact that I was going to go to Massage school soon after high school was out! My entire grade 12 year was dedicated to doing a co-op placement at two different massage places in my hometown! One was a successful clinic of 12 years and the other was a newly constructed spa! It gave me the best of both worlds and let me see how life as a massage therapist would be! School was interesting, challenging, and very trying, and though I was close to throwing the towel in and giving up, but I didn't because I knew what my purpose was!! My passion is to help people, whether the cause is from an old injury, months of pregnancy, or just a bad day at work. I know that the knowledge I have gained from school, and my continuing drive to learn more, to help more people, is going to be what it takes to be a successful massage therapist! My name is Stephanie Gaudet and I was born and raised in Elmira area and I am now raising my own family in Elmira too! I love the small town atmosphere and how you get to know so many people in your community and we are almost like one big family that takes care of one another. I love that I am able to interact with all kinds of people and help each one with their individual concerns and help them all/or most get to a healthier and happier place in their lives. I always knew that I wanted to work in the health industry because it is something I am so passionate about in my own life and wanted to share that with others. My training was completed at Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Kitchener and I graduated with honours in 2005. I also completed courses in prenatal/labour/postpartum massage as well as a Hot Stone Massage course. I have been practicing Massage Therapy for just under 6 years now and think it is a very rewarding profession. I have experience in treating I wide range of symptoms and pathologies and have learned a lot while working along side other experienced Massage Therapists, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Doctors at my previous place of employment.
